Job Description




As a Security Officer - Property Patrol in Saint Paul Park, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, completing routine rounds and maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to access and incident needs with a customer service mindset. Minimum 6+ months of Security experience Or prior Law Enforcement or Military experience required

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, parking areas, gates, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards to operations.
  • Monitor access points and perform security-related checks of credentials, vehicles, and deliveries as directed, maintaining professional communication with drivers, contractors, and employees.
  • Complete timely written and/or electronic reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, documenting observations and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
