Consumer Litigation Associate
Steptoe LLP seeks a 3rd to 4th year litigation Associate to join the Firm's Los Angeles office, working primarily with our Consumer Litigation practice group on behalf of financial institution clients. Qualified candidates will have 3 to 4 years of litigation experience and be familiar with practicing in California state and federal courts as well as in arbitration. Experience representing financial institutions, and/or litigating claims arising under banking, privacy and/or consumer protection laws is a plus.

Candidates should be prepared to assume significant responsibility in the management of their matters, and to take on a front-facing role with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.

California bar membership, excellent academic credentials, and strong writing and analytical skills are required.

We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that provides training and mentorship. The anticipated salary range is $260,000 to $310,000. The actual base salary offered will depend upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held.
