Job Purpose

The Supervisor of Transmission Project Execution will oversee daily project execution activities on transmission line projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and contractual obligations. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of transmission construction processes, and expertise in contract management and contractor oversight. The Supervisor will report directly to the Construction Manager and play a key role in the successful execution of transmission projects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Supervise daily project execution activities on-site for transmission line projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee and manage the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance standards.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or delays promptly to maintain project schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, compliance with safety standards, and adherence to contract specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement work plans, schedules, and resource allocation for transmission projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including labor, materials, and equipment usage, and report on project status to the Manager.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and promote a culture of safety among all team members.
  • Assist in the training and development of project execution team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including engineering and project management teams, to address any project-related concerns.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction oversight, specifically in transmission line projects.
  • Strong knowledge of transmission construction processes, contract management, and contractor oversight.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is preferred.

Salary:

$119,000 - $139,000 per year
