Job Description Pay Range: $17.15 per hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Visually inspects chicken on production line for defects (bruises, broken, diseased etc.) marked by and/or instructed by USDA inspectors Remove bruises, broken or mutilated chicken parts using a knife and/or scissors As instructed by USDA inspectors, marks and hangs on rack of off the line any contaminated and diseased chickens from production line Qualifications REQUIREMENTS Must be able to stand for prolong long periods of time (8+hrs) on concrete floor, and able to climb steps to elevated or ego stand Able to work with small handheld tools (i.e., knife, scissors) Must be able to work with minimal supervision and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to visually inspect chicken and document the number of chickens with defects Demonstrate knowledge of chicken diseases and attention to detail Repetitive over shoulder reaching, torso twisting, grasping, pushing and pulling, frequent fine finger manipulations to record numbers required Must be able to work with wet hands throughout shift Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
