Job Description

Process residential mortgage loans for outside loan originators and prepare them for approval. Prepare preliminary RESPA and TIL Disclosures and analyze borrower data for compliance with secondary market underwriting guidelines using secondary market automated underwriting system. Interact with customers from application through closing to ensure continuous communication throughout loan application and approval process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist and support outside loan originators by providing customer support and ongoing customer communication throughout application and approval process
  • Prepare preliminary Loan Estimate Disclosure statement and other initial disclosures in compliance with truth-in-lending and RESPA regulations
  • Responsible for knowledge of secondary market requirements and bank's policy and procedures; keep abreast of current underwriting standards through study, attendance at meetings and seminars; serve as resource person for loan officers and other loan department personnel
  • Prepare and submit to appropriate mortgage insurance company and/or secondary market investor all loan files that require detailed review and monitors status for approval and receipt of certification
  • Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned

Experience and Skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • Solid working knowledge of residential mortgage products and other loan programs offered by bank
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of secondary market underwriting guidelines and bank lending policies
  • Good working knowledge of bank products, policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Three years residential lending experience


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS



  • Normal business office environment


Pay Range: $22.57 - $29.35

The pay range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the pay range for this job at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply.
