Winter hours 1st Monday November to last Friday March
6:30 am - 3:00 pm; Monday - Friday. May be required to work events during weekends and evenings.
Summer hours 1st Monday April to last Friday October
6:00 am - 2:30 pm; Monday - Friday. May be required to work events during weekends and evenings.
Mandatory Position
This position is designated as 'mandatory' and, when contacted to report to work, its incumbent is expected to reach the campus as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
This position serves as the Senior Construction Crew Leader - setting work priorities and providing oversight of equipment and crew needs including all necessary vendor coordination and materials ordering processes. This position acts as a master in concrete, asphalt repair, drainage work, grading, earthwork, pavers and assorted project types. |
| Minimum Education/Experience |
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency and two (2) years of experience in trade(s) areas assigned; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

| Essential Job Duties |
This position serves as the Senior Construction Crew Leader - setting work priorities and providing oversight of equipment and crew needs, including all necessary vendor coordination and materials ordering, including procuring quotations, PO creation, and submitting invoices for payment. This position acts as a master in concrete, asphalt repair, drainage work, grading, earthwork, pavers and assorted project types.
- Project manager for grounds projects.
- Asphalt repair, concrete installation and repair.
- Paver installation & repair
- Grading, installation of drainage, rip rap and erosion control/repair which requires knowledge of landscape materials.

| Other Work Responsibilities |
This position will lead Construction Crew Technicians performing all site related activities related to Grounds Functions. Schedules and reviews work assignments and sets daily objectives for work unit based on established priorities and time frames. |
| Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
- Experience in progressive construction maintenance field work, equipment operation, concrete work with emphasis on finishing and repair, and landscape construction supervisory/lead experience preferred.
- Ability to operate & train others on heavy machinery such as backhoe, skid steers, tractors, plow truck, and trenchers.
- Ability to locate & mark storm water utilities.
- Experience with commercial mowing and other landscaping equipment
- Knowledge and skill with Google Chrome, Microsoft Word and Excel, and willingness to learn new programs; effective skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
