Position Title: Sorter / Quality Inspection Wage: $16.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm Hiring Immediately | Long-Term Temporary | Opportunity to Start ASAP QPS Employment Group is hiring for a Sorter / Quality Inspection role with a valued manufacturing partner in Fort Dodge, IA. This is a long-term temporary position with the potential for ongoing work. If you're detail-oriented, reliable, and ready to start right away, we want to hear from you! Position Overview: The Sorter / Quality Inspector is responsible for visually inspecting cans, identifying defects, and determining whether products meet quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting production by ensuring only approved product is shipped out while defective product is recycled. This job requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Sorter / Quality Inspection Responsibilities: - Inspect cans and lids for visible defects or quality issues - Sort and separate acceptable product from defective product - Rework and repackage approved product as needed - Place defective cans into designated recycling containers - Work on an elevated platform to place plastic sheets on machines - Perform facility housekeeping: sweeping, dusting, mopping, etc. Requirements for Sorter / Quality Inspection: - Strong attention to detail and focus on repetitive tasks - Ability to follow quality procedures and make accurate decisions - Reliable attendance and ability to work independently - Manufacturing or inspection experience is helpful but not required - Ability to sit or stand for long periods - Ability to lift 8-12 lb sleeves of product regularly - Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally - Ability to climb stairs and work on an elevated platform - Ability to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive hand movements marshalltown@qpsemployment.com IND097 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
