Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. Job Title: COE Engineer - III. Location: Grand Rapids, MI. Responsibilities:
  • Engineer detailed, often complex, network builds for new and existing technologies and assist with ordering equipment/cables/hardware via the appropriate systems.
  • The FAST (Field Assurance Support Team) Engineer will function within a centralized team responsible for select tasks to improve efficiencies and provide support within the Network Field Assurance organization. Desired candidates will possess a demonstrated knowledge of wireless RAN Operations/Performance/Hardware, RF/Antenna system fundamentals, and experience in remote system troubleshooting and support.
As a member of the FAST, your primary role will involve tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Remote support of Telecommunication Field Engineers and Vendors to assist in the integration of new network equipment.
  • Remote support of Telecommunication Field Engineers and Vendors to troubleshoot and resolve existing network equipment issues.
  • Pre/Post Work RAN health checks and network service KPI assurance.
  • Engagement of peer organizations to assist in on-site issue resolution.
  • Primary business-hours contact for on-site remote access assistance.
Must have skills:

You'll need to have:
  • Technical degree or relevant experience is required.
  • Bachelor degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the following RAN technologies: Samsung and/or Nokia.
  • Experience in remote network equipment triage and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in network KPI analysis.
  • High technical aptitude for assimilating technical concepts and new technology.
  • A proactive work style with the ability to set priorities, work with minimum supervision and with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Commitment to professionalism, follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to listen and comprehend effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and customer service orientation with high integrity.

Targeted Years of Experience:
  • 5-7 years.
Working Shift:
  • Looking for an engineer with Samsung or Nokia experience that will work until 8pm Central Time Zone. This position may also work on weekends.
