Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:


The Warm Forge Graphite Tech maintains the Die Lube on all the Warm Forge Lines. This is done by completing daily inspections, monitoring, cleanings and checks on a daily bases on each of the lines. The applicant should not be afraid to get dirty. The applicant must understand how important their job is to the overall support of Production through the maintaining of the die lubricant. Die Lubricant, is the life's blood of the Warm Forge Presses, this is a critical operation.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Inspect Graphite Levels
  • Add Graphite if needed (if adding, document how many gallons added)
  • Support Pump-out and Recharges as needed
  • Check for Graphite leaks
  • Check the Graphite Tank lid is in place
  • Clean tank and around filter area
  • Clean Graphite filters and magnets if applicable for each press
  • Empty Waste Barrels on CVJ4, CVJ5 and CVJ6
  • Wash out all empty Graphite Totes
  • Communicates to Production Supervisor or PC when 60 totes are rinsed, cleaned, and ready for pickup.
  • Complete Daily Paperwork and Visual Display Boards
  • Confirm moisture percentage at time of inspections
  • Communicates Daily Graphite Usage to the Tool Crib
  • Transports 300gal totes around by Fork Truck to various lines to add lubricant

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:




  • Safety First applicant with Good Attention to Detail
  • 2-5 years of Forging Experience
  • Must be able to drive a Fork Truck
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to multitask
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • High School Diploma required



PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS:



  • Requires ability to lift 50 lbs and ability to drive various types of forklifts and the ability to Push/Pull up to 250 lbs with a force of 15-25 lbs. Distance - approx. 100ft Trucks are used to maneuver heavier baskets and extended distances.
  • Standing & Walking: Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances, often on concrete or uneven surfaces and up and down steps.
  • Repetitive Motion: Capable of performing repetitive tasks, including grasping, lifting, twisting and bending.
  • Hand-eye coordination: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, and controls and make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Ability to use manual dexterity to operate levers, buttons, and controls
  • Vision & Attention to Detail: good close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus and ensure safe operations, including reading gauges and safety indicators.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to maintain focus and physical energy throughout the workday, which may include handling loads, stacking, and organizing materials in a fast-paced environment.
  • Balance & Mobility: Must have good balance and be able to move freely in tight spaces.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in various conditions including varying temperatures, exposure to manufacturing oils and fluids and moderate noise levels.
