The Job

The Supervisor of Clinical Intelligence is a SME of Clinical Intelligence processes and data generated from these processes. This position leverages that knowledge to determine the best methods and data sources to measuring/communicating productivity, compliance and quality outcomes for decision support. This role is a working supervisor who is responsible for supervising a team of Data Analysts committed to delivering quality analysis and reporting in support of all Clinical Intelligence departments and SCAN as an organization.

You Will

  • Support Clinical Intelligence Leadership and the Reporting & Analytics team by providing analytical data deliverables using clear and consistent business terminology, measures, and visualizations. Coordinate and track incoming data requests, ensuring work is distributed appropriately among analysts. Assist team members in coordinating with stakeholders to meet project needs and provide regular status updates. Partner with stakeholder managers to help identify issues and facilitate their resolution during report development phases. Utilize standard tools such as Tableau, SSRS, SQL, Excel, PowerBI, and Streamlit to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in reviewing data sources, proposed measures, and test plans for requested reports or dashboards. Provide day-to-day guidance and support to staff, helping with questions on analysis and processes. Share information on departmental and organizational updates. Contribute to building a cohesive and collaborative team environment that effectively meets project and departmental objectives.
  • Help maintain and apply existing Standards, Guidelines, and Policies & Procedures related to Clinical Intelligence teams. Support management in communicating job expectations, monitoring progress, and offering feedback to staff. Assist with coaching and employee development under the direction of management.
  • Proactively identifies and acts on opportunities to leverage advanced analytics and AI to achieve organizational goals relevant to Clinical Intelligence
  • Support management in staff performance review preparation and provide input for development discussions. Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members. Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment that encourages ongoing skill growth.
  • Help raise awareness among Clinical Intelligence management of the team's role and responsibilities. Monitor data reporting and analysis activities, noting potential opportunities or gaps and communicating them to management for follow-up.
  • Conduct data research and basic analysis to support Clinical Intelligence teams' goals, including quality and compliance initiatives. Provide input toward developing process improvements and data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and other departments to verify data availability and ensure metrics and benchmarks are accurately reflected in reports and dashboards.
  • Continue to develop professional knowledge by attending relevant workshops, reviewing publications, and engaging with peers. Perform other data and reporting-related duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required

  • 3+ years of experience in health care industry
  • 2+ years experience with Managed Care KPI's, utilization metrics, compliance measures, 5-star
  • 1+ years demonstrated leadership/management experience.
  • Leadership- Lead and inspire teams to achieve
  • Problem Solving- Good problem-solving skills
  • Communication- Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and communication skills, are needed. Excellent organizational, decision-making, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to prioritize multiple and competing tasks, work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong SQL, PowerBI, AI tools skills and database knowledge required. Familiarity with data mining concepts.
