Senior IT Operations Manager

Peraton is seeking a Senior IT Operations Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the enterprise operations model that executes management of events, incidents, problems, and changes.

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborates and coordinates with the customer enterprise IT organization and peer suppliers related to all ITIL processes within the enterprise service management environment
• Manages a team of IT Service Management and service delivery professionals including process managers, system administrators, network engineers, and subject matter experts.
• Manage and improve individual mission and cross-collaborative approaches across the contract and Program.
• Provide workforce education and mentoring to maintain the IT operations, IT System Administration, and Network Engineering culture across program ensuring compliance with ITSM processes and procedures governing the enterprise environment
• Provide management oversight of multiple concurrent project activities across multiple Information Technology disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma and 12 years of experience in management and supervisory roles
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• 9 years of experience managing complex IT infrastructure environments
• 9 years of network operations experience (i.e. including network design, development, testing, and implementing systems management platforms and solutions

Preferred qualifications:

• ITIL v4 Foundation certification with experience managing operations within an ITIL based service management environment collaborating with co-suppliers in a multi-sourced service delivery environment
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of IT professionals supporting a large enterprise environment with diverse customer organizations
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with customer senior leadership
• Experience with concepts related to operating standards and other authorization/certification and endorsements for systems operating in the public sector space
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a complex environment
• Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements efficiencies
• Ability to multitask effectively between program projects, subcontractor personnel, and project civil servant community
