Role Overview
As an NDT Inspector, you will perform approved non-destructive testing (NDT)-including fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, ultrasonic, and visual inspections-to document the servicing and repair of gas turbine engines, aircraft components, parts, and accessories. Work will follow the Repair Station Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturers' specifications, and StandardAero policies.

What You'll Do

  • Perform NDT inspections and complete records/reports in compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain inspection equipment; prepare components for NDT using all available processes.
  • Conduct preliminary, in process repair, and final inspections, ensuring accurate documentation prior to product release.
  • Complete inspections of overhauled or repaired engines, accessories, and components before shipment.
  • Coordinate workloads with Production and Engineering to meet schedule targets.
  • Support salvage and warranty evaluations and prevent release of defective parts.
  • Identify process improvements and enhance team efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Documented completion of 400 hours on-the-job training and 32 hours classroom training in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), or proof of prior level II certification in accordance with NAS 410.
  • Previous Level II certifications required.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals, work specifications, and service bulletins as verified through training records, certification, or assessment.
  • Must pass general, specific, and practical exams in FPI (average 80%, minimum 70% per exam).
  • Certifiable to NAS 410 and meet ITAR US Person requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, and eddy current NDT methods and passing relevant eye examinations.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 or other regulatory standards.
