A resume and cover letter is required. The successful candidate will be expected to work in-person on the UCLA campus multiple days each week. Department Summary SE&IS is comprised of two academic departments, 16 research centers, several faculty research projects, three infant-12 grade schools, and two partnership schools external to UCLA. The Deans Department at the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies (Ed&IS) serves as the administrative hub responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, academic programs, faculty affairs, student services, and overall operations within the school. Committed to excellence in education, research, and community engagement, the department plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission and vision of Ed&IS. Position Summary The Senior Academic HR Analyst plays a key role in supporting faculty and academic employees across the School of Education & Information Studies. This position independently manages academic personnel actions including appointments, reviews, recruitments, leaves, and separations, ensuring compliance with university policy and labor contracts. The role oversees payroll activities, prepares academic dossiers, and partners closely with campus offices to resolve complex HR issues. Serving as the primary contact for academic HR guidance, benefits, accommodations, and leave administration, the Senior Academic HR Analyst provides strategic support to leadership and departments. The role also contributes to process improvements and special projects that enhance HR operations. This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information while balancing multiple priorities. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
