The Theatrical Lighting and Projection Design/Production Manager is a Lecturer position focused on Theatrical Lighting, Projection Design and Production Management. The individual will teach two academic courses per year, including theatrical lighting/projection design and computer-aided drafting (Vectorworks).

In addition, the position includes providing lighting and/or projection designs for Theatre Arts Department productions, as well as supervising and mentoring student designers and student technicians.

The Lecturer will also serve as Production Manager for the Theatre Arts Department. This includes overseeing production scheduling (including technical rehearsal schedules), coordinating student production and crew assignments, and managing production budgets in partnership with the department chair.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance

Compensation:

$60,000 - $65,000 per academic year

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven Experience in Production or Project Management

  • Five years of Professional Experience in Lighting, Projection Design, and Technology

  • Two or more years of previous teaching experience

Required Education:
  • Master of Fine Arts/Master of Arts in Theatrical Design and Technology.

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts/Bachelor of Arts considered with a minimum of five years of professional experience.
