The successful candidate will report to the Quality Manager and monitor the manufacturing and inspection processes within the facility.




BASIC PURPOSE:



The purpose of this activity is to perform a First Article Inspection (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements. The ballooning of drawings will be carried out using DISCUS software to systematically identify and document all part characteristics, ensuring compliance with design specifications before full production









DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Ability to create an AS9102 FAI Report (Form 1: Part Number Accountability Form Instructions,Form 2: Product Accountability Material, Special Processes and functional Testing and Form 3:Characteristic Accountability, Verification and Compatibility Evaluation
  • Ability to create bubble charts and document attribute and variable characteristics (andtolerances).
  • Solid understanding of SAE AS9102, Aerospace First Article Inspection Requirements.
  • Interface with Engineering and Manufacturing staff in resolving FAI conformanceissues.




COMPETENCIES:



Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Blueprint reading and interpreting



EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



Previous use of DISCUS Software is a plus!

High school diploma and Two years of quality inspector experience




PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



Physical demands of the job, bending, sitting, typing, lifting, standing, etc., Daily could be up to a total of 4-5 hours total for any one. You must pass an annual eye exam with or without corrective lenses.
