Genesis10 is currently seeking an Operations Analyst - Onsite for a contract position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Brea, CA. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity.
Pay range: $34.65 - $38.65 per Hour
This role is responsible for processing a variety of new accounts for customers, including checking, IRA, and CD accounts, with a special emphasis on Fiduciary and Trust accounts. The ideal candidate will collect and process required information, answer customer questions regarding rates and policies, and cross-sell bank services while ensuring compliance with all state and federal banking regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist consumer and business customers in their selection of various accounts, products, and financial services
- Interview customers to obtain information, establish proper identification, and determine the need for reference investigation
- Make decisions regarding the opening of new accounts, assign account numbers, and prepare all necessary documents
- Accurately process all teller transactions including over the counter, night drop, courier, and mail
- Operate computer terminal to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems
- Cross-sell products and services as opportunities are recognized
- Provide leadership and guidance to BSR staff and communicate training or service concerns to the Branch Service Manager
- Assist management with daily reports and support branch audit certification processes
- Comply with bank operations and security procedures, participating in all dual-control functions
- Provide effective customer service by answering questions, investigating errors, and resolving problems
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Business or equivalent experience
- 3 or more years of new accounts experience, with an emphasis on Fiduciary/Trust Accounts and experience reading and understanding legal documents used to open them
- Work-related experience should consist of a financial institution operations, sales, or customer service background
- Broad knowledge in new account documentation (i.e., Fiduciary, Corporations etc.)
- Intermediate experience, knowledge, and training in branch operation activities, terminology, and products and services
- Broad knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation, including word processing, spreadsheet, and account opening software
- Basic math skills to calculate interest, balance accounts, and count currency
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Desired skills:
- Experience with Horizon Classic and XE is a bonus
