Under direct supervision during on-the-job training, the candidate must receive and follow specific, detailed instructions. Learn and assist other crew members during Installation and/or Maintenance activities at Customer Sites.

As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Being responsible for learning to execute maintenance/installation of TPS rotating equipment and for assisting other crew members in performing the assigned scope of work.

  • Interacting primarily with assigned MENTOR or direct supervisor and other specialists/supervisors in the group.

  • Executing all required responsibilities safely and as instructed by direct supervisors, following all IET Gas Technology Service applicable processes and procedures.

  • Performing other related duties as required.

  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Controls Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a similar technical field

  • Have entry-level to 1+ years of controls engineering experience in project-based or industrial settings.

  • Have ability to understand and interpret technical drawings (P&ID, Instrumentation, etc.)

  • Have excellent English fluency, both spoken and written; Spanish is a plus.

  • Be able to work in a multi-cultural team and be willing to travel worldwide up to 90% of the time, including offshore platforms

  • Be eligible authorized to work in the USA and eligible to work across the border, such as in Canada, Europe, and Mexico.

  • Have strong customer service mindset.

  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.

  • You enjoy solving technical problems and developing products and solutions. (Desired)

  • You have a desire to learn and grow from a diverse set of experiences and people. (Desired)
