TRUMPF Photonics is a developer and manufacturer of novel semiconductor diode lasers and laser pumps. We are looking for an intern who would like to understand the manufacturing process of a semiconductor manufacturing company and apply fundamental EHS principles. This a hands-on role with an interaction across multiple business units.

Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a 4-year or greater degree program in Occupation Safety, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously across numerous departments

  • Basic understanding of General Industry OSHA standards, and Environmental Regulations

  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Proven analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI a strong plus

  • Presentation / Report on an improvement project at the end of internship

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical inventory and input data into company data base

  • Update / create new chemical approval procedure

  • Survey production equipment for utility and chemical usage and discharges and help create database

  • Assist in revising training material and training existing / new employees

Education

Currently enrolled or recent graduate in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences or Engineering.
