| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree and two years office administration or project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
| Preferred Education and Experience |
* Experience working in higher education in an administrative or support role.
* Familiarity with purchasing, financial, or administrative processes within a
university setting.
* Experience working within the School of Interdisciplinary Studies or a similar
academic unit is strongly preferred. |
| Other Qualifications |
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Serve as administrative and purchasing support for the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, coordinating day-to-day administrative operations for the department.
- Process and track purchasing transactions in accordance with the university, UT System, and state policies, including requisitions, purchase orders, payments, and
supporting documentation. - Provide general administrative support to IS leadership and staff, including calendar coordination, correspondence, document preparation, and general support as
needed. - Assist with onboarding and administrative coordination for faculty, staff, and student employees within the School of Interdisciplinary Studies.
- Support departmental operations by responding to internal and external inquiries and ensuring smooth communication across campus partners.
