Overview

At Ferrellgas our corporate roles are fully remote, enabling talented professionals to support our field operations from wherever they are. These positions play a critical role in driving business growth, providing strategic and operational support that empowers our teams in the field to deliver exceptional results. We are looking for an IT Intern to join the team this summer! This intern will support the IT Infrastructure team in driving operational visibility, process optimization, and organizational alignment across technology initiatives. This role will assist with tracking project activity, supporting the rollout of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, and analyzing data to enhance reporting and decision-making. This internship is ideal for a student with a strong interest in business analytics, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration who is eager to gain exposure to enterprise IT operations within a structured corporate environment.This internship will begin in June 2026 and will be about 12 weeks long, depending on business need.



Responsibilities

    Support the IT Infrastructure team in tracking and maintaining visibility into active IT projects and initiatives
  • Assist with the implementation and ongoing adoption of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and tools
  • Analyze workflow, ticketing, and project data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate project status and operational metrics
  • Help document processes, standard operating procedures, and intake workflows
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to capture action items and ensure follow-through
  • Support process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability
  • Assist with stakeholder communications related to project updates and ITSM adoption


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in college level studies in Business, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Interest in process improvement, operational efficiency, and organizational change
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools, dashboards, or data visualization platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with data and translating findings into clear insights
  • Previous internship or project experience in analytics, operations, consulting, or project coordination preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States
  • Applicants must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
