Overview

At Ferrellgas our corporate roles are fully remote, enabling talented professionals to support our field operations from wherever they are. These positions play a critical role in driving business growth, providing strategic and operational support that empowers our teams in the field to deliver exceptional results. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Safety intern to join our safety team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with the systems and technologies that support workplace safety compliance, incident reporting, training, audits, and performance tracking. The ideal candidate is passionate about safety, analytics, data management, and continuous improvement. This internship will begin in June 2026 and will last 12 weeks, depending on business needs.



Responsibilities

    Gain an understanding of all aspects of the business, with a focus on safety, technology, training, emergency response, and analytics.
  • Instill and uphold a customer service culture within the district that fosters retention, relationships, and loyalty; and positions the district for increased growth opportunities.
  • Partner with key mentors throughout the program.
  • Assist managers and staff with projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and other senior staff.
  • Follow all company regulations and health and safety codes.
  • Learn about conflict resolution and how to address various situations.


Qualifications

  • At least one year of college-level studies in data analytics, business related studies, environmental health and safety, safety management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills: written and oral.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience editing and creating PDFs using Adobe Acrobat.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
