Placement Type: Temporary Salary: $55-60 Hourly up to $60/hr Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 This role provides handson support to the Corporate Accounting organization, with a primary focus on supporting the monthly accounting close rhythm - specifically intercompany accounting activities. Outside of the close window, the role will support the GL Maintenance team, which is responsible for general ledger maintenance, data governance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for accounting and finance systems that impact the close process A typical day for this role balances handson accounting work during the close cycle with systems, data governance, and UAT support outside the close window. During the monthly close window, the day is centered on supporting the accounting close rhythm. The individual reviews and validates intercompany transactions and balances, investigates and helps resolve intercompany differences, and partners with other accounting teams to address timing or posting issues. They assist with reconciliations, variance analysis, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely close deliverables. The work is deadlinedriven, detailoriented, and closely aligned to the close calendar. Outside the close window, the day shifts more toward systems and enablement work. The individual supports the GL maintenance team by assisting with general ledger master data maintenance, data governance activities, and data quality reviews that impact financial reporting. They help identify and resolve issues related to chart of accounts changes, mappings, or other master data updates. A significant portion of nonclose time is spent supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for accounting and finance tools. This includes executing test scripts, validating accounting results, comparing outcomes between source systems and downstream reports, documenting issues, and partnering with engineering or IT teams to triage defects. They may also support test readiness activities such as access validation, scenario setup, and maintaining testing documentation. Across both close and nonclose periods, the role involves frequent collaboration with accounting partners, systems teams, and program stakeholders. The individual works through a mix of structured tasks and adhoc problem solving, helping ensure accounting processes run smoothly and system changes are thoroughly tested before going live. The ideal candidate has a hybrid accounting and systems background, with hands on experience supporting accounting close activities and participating in finance system testing or support.
