ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
A Contracts Closeout Associate supports the Contracts Manager/Specialist in managing the tasks involved with the closeout of company's contractual agreements with customers. The Contracts Closeout Associate helps gather contractual documents; reviews contract terms and conditions; assists in identifying outstanding closeout activities; and works with functional team members to ensure a timely closeout process. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assists in contract or subcontract closeout activities.
*Research historical contracts or subcontracts data to identify any potential concern areas.
*Coordinates and assists with the administration of open tasks assigned to functional areas.
*Maintains contract or subcontract files.
*Provides status updates and final reports to relevant parties.
*Participates in closeout meetings.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
*Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine closeout issues.
*Ability to build stable working relationships internally.
*Ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
*Ability to develop professional concepts and knowledge of basic business principles.
*Ability to work on problems of limited scope.
*Demonstrates basic written and verbal communication skills.
*Familiarity with Government and commercial contract or subcontract requirements (e.g., FAR and DFARS).
*Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
*Possesses basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) to support communications and business needs.
*Possesses basic interpersonal skills with management, customers, subcontractors, and peers.
*Demonstrates basic organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities *efficiently, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
*Demonstrates basic collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively within a team, communicate openly with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Education and Experience:
*High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:* *Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
