DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Driver License Examiner Assistant at one of our Driver License Center, you will provide essential driver licensing services to the public. Providing exceptional, informative, and accurate information over the counter in response to customer needs will be an essential part of your daily activity. Greeting, verifying applicant identification, assisting with application forms, and entering data into online licensing software. You will administer standardized knowledge tests to assess applicants' understanding of motor vehicle laws and conducts vision screenings using a telebinocular instrument.
Additionally, you will enter test results and applications into the system, address public inquiries, and ensure they are well-versed in the services offered, including REAL ID requirements and various licensing options. They produce Restoration Requirements Letters upon request, manage fee waivers according to guidelines, and maintain compliance with customer service policies and REAL ID regulations, all while keeping their workspace clean and organized.

- Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime and travel as needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
