The Employment and Scholarship Manager provides leadership and oversight for CNAS graduate student employment, appointment, and scholarship processes. This position develops, implements, and manages graduate student appointment workflows; generates and issues appointment letters; audits entries in campus academic and financial systems; and produces compliance and management reports to support decision-making. The role ensures adherence to applicable bargaining unit agreements, UC policies, and funding requirements, and provides training and guidance to departmental staff on employment and scholarship procedures. In collaboration with the Student Academic Affairs & Interdepartmental Programs Administrative Unit, the Employment and Scholarship Manager oversees the full lifecycle of graduate student scholarships and departmental grants, serves as a liaison with Student Services Administrators, faculty, and college leadership to coordinate scholarship announcements, application review and scoring, award processing, and post-award monitoring, maintains and audits student databases for accuracy and integrity, and prepares reports for CNAS leadership to support effective resource management and compliance.

The full salary range for the Employment and Scholarship Manager is $75,900 - $137,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $75,900 - $91,250 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
