This is a potential to hire position for 1st or 2nd shift. Apply now! As a General Utility professional, you'll master a variety of roles-from packaging and palletizing to maintaining high sanitation standards. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping the floor safe and efficient. General Utility Responsibilities: - Perform general labor duties across multiple production roles, including sanitation, packing, palletizing, and box making, as needed - Follow all company policies, GMPs, HACCP regulations, and meat-processing procedures to support safe and compliant production operations - Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas, promptly reporting any sanitation or safety issues to supervisors or foremen - Assist with setup, operation, changeover, disassembly, and protection of production and packaging equipment for processing and sanitation - Handle, label, track, and properly dispose of inedible materials, rework, waste, and packaging supplies according to specifications - Inspect products, packaging, labels, and code dates to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with product specifications - Support material handling tasks, including staging supplies, stacking pallets, transporting rework, and operating hand or power jacks (as trained) - Complete required documentation and paperwork accurately and on time - Assist with training new employees and provide coverage for coworkers during breaks or staffing needs - Respond immediately to instructions from Production Supervisors or Foremen and assist with startup, shutdown, and end-of-shift duties as assigned Requirements for General Utility: - High School Diploma or GED - Ability to read, write and communicate in English - Dependable and detail-oriented - Ability to follow directions and work under minimal supervision - Willing to work weekends and overtime hours as the company necessitates - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment IND015 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
