About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team and support the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes for computer?centric electromechanical systems and integrated assemblies. This role is ideal for a systems?minded, technically strong engineer who thrives in modern, digital manufacturing environments.

The Manufacturing Engineer will contribute across the entire product lifecycle-from early design engagement and quoting through full production and sustaining support. You will collaborate closely with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to enable efficient, scalable, and high?quality production solutions for both medical and non?medical OEM customers.

What You'll Do
Manufacturing Strategy & Process Ownership

  • Develop and own manufacturing strategies for complex computer?based electromechanical systems.
  • Optimize production processes for low? to mid?volume, high?mix system?level products.
  • Establish standards, best practices, and technical direction for assigned product families.
  • Contribute to capacity planning, capital investment decisions, and long?term manufacturing roadmaps.

Advanced Design Interface & System Integration

  • Act as the manufacturing engineering interface for customer programs.
  • Lead DFM and system?integration reviews for embedded systems, industrial PCs, and system?level architectures.
  • Participate early in quoting and design phases to reduce risk and improve manufacturability.
  • Manage ECO/MCO activities and support BOM configuration and production transitions.

Customer & Program Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.
  • Lead manufacturing engineering activities for high?complexity or strategic programs.
  • Balance customer needs with operational capabilities to deliver cost?effective, manufacturable solutions.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and data?driven improvement initiatives.
  • Drive root?cause analysis and corrective actions across quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Use manufacturing and quality data to identify opportunities and guide decision?making.
  • Lead risk?management activities, including FMEA/PFMEA.

Validation, Compliance & Technical Governance

  • Develop clear, controlled manufacturing documentation and visual work instructions.
  • Oversee process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and sustaining production.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and third?party audits as a subject matter expert.
  • Maintain validated rework processes and support training for production teams.

Tools & Fixtures

  • Use CAD tools (SolidWorks) to design and implement production and test fixtures.
  • Develop metalwork, brackets, enclosures, and cable?related manufacturing solutions.
  • Leverage ERP/MES systems and data analytics to drive visibility, traceability, and ongoing improvement.

What You Bring

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology or 2+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in electromechanical or system?level manufacturing (regulated environments preferred).
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast?paced environment.
  • Proficiency creating and maintaining procedures, work instructions, validations, and documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, and BOMs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem?solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and proactive issue resolution.
  • Ability to manage confidential and controlled design data.
  • Occasional domestic/international travel as needed.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Hybrid environment: approximately 70% office / 30% manufacturing floor.
  • Requires mobility across office and production areas, including walking, standing, and bending.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work areas may include moderate noise or dust.
  • Vision, hearing, and communication abilities required for documentation and collaboration.
  • This role is factory?based in Mequon, WI.
