Material Handler

Position: Material Handler

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (overtime may be required)

Duration: 1-year contract with strong potential for extension

We are hiring a Material Handler to support warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping logistics. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in warehouse management, inventory tracking, shipping and receiving, and SAP systems. The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, process, label, store, and issue incoming inventory and stock materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts using SAP transactions.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage and document discrepancies.
• Organize warehouse space to support efficient material storage and workflow.
• Prepare and package orders for shipment.
• Coordinate UPS and FedEx shipping, including documentation and shipment tracking.
• Support hazardous material shipping procedures in compliance with safety standards.
• Record arrival and departure times for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, dollies, and other material handling tools.
• Assist with overall warehouse operations and inventory management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of warehouse work, including lifting and moving materials.
• Experience working in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory environment preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Work Environment & PPE:

• Safety-toe shoes required.
• Jeans are required daily.
• A flame-resistant (FRC) shirt is required when making field deliveries.
