The Japanese Bilingual Tax Manager will use their technical expertise to manage complex compliance projects, perform strategic tax research, and build strong, consultative relationships with clients. The firm offers a collaborative culture focused on technical excellence and professional growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Tax Compliance & Review:Prepare and meticulously reviewcomplex federal and state income tax returns for various entity types, including S-Corporations, Partnerships, C-Corporations, and High-Net-Worth Individuals.
Engagement Management:Manage the workflow of multiple tax engagements simultaneously, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met in a timely and accurate manner.
Client Consultation:Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on routine tax matters, proactively communicating filing requirements, data requests, and technical positions.
Technical Research:Conduct in-depth research on complex state and federal tax issues, drafting clear, concise technical memos to document findings and support compliance positions.
Mentorship:Supervise, train, and mentor junior tax staff, providing constructive feedback on their workpapers and returns to foster their professional growth.
Tax Planning:Assist Managers and Partners with year-end tax planning and projections for clients to identify potential tax savings opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of progressive tax preparation and review experience.
Active CPA license preferred. Eligibility to sit CPA exam required.
Advanced proficiency in professional tax preparation software, Microsoft Excel, and related accounting technologies.
Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
