Centralized Medication Access Manager Specialty Pharmacy Full Time 87953BR Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Outpatient Pharmacy Services, the Manager of Centralized Medication Access provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the pharmacy-led centralized prior authorization (PA) and medication refill program. This role drives departmental success by ensuring that the Supervisor, frontline technicians, and pharmacists consistently meet performance targets. Key priorities include process design, inter-departmental collaboration, and scaling the department to meet organizational growth. Additionally, the Manager partners with the Director to steer the centralized access strategy and collaborates with Outpatient Pharmacy Managers to optimize revenue and prescription capture. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $169,400 - $290,400 (Annual Rate). These services include, but are not limited to: drug procurement, storage, and security; safe, accurate and timely preparation and distribution of drugs; clinical pharmacy services for patients; development of drug use policies within the Medical Center; drug information services for clinicians and patients; and participation in technology assessment and quality assurance programs. The Department of Pharmaceutical Services is affiliated with the UCSF Department of Clinical Pharmacy, an academic department within the School of Pharmacy, which has primary responsibility for teaching professional courses in the Pharm.D. curriculum, clinical research, and public and clinical service.
