Job Summary:

The Allina Health Cancer Institute (AHCI) is recruiting a Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established oncology team in Coon Rapids, MN. This metroarea practice provides advanced oncology care within a multidisciplinary, highvolume cancer center supported by a robust regional network.

Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE. Monday- Friday business hours. May consider a .8 or .9 FTE.
  • Provide care for solid tumor and benign hematology patients.
  • This is primarily a clinic focused position located at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. May cover other Cancer Institute sites in the NW region as needed.
  • This role includes caring for active treatment patients, infusion center support, and survivorship visits.
  • Inpatient rounding per department scheduling.
  • Potential for future weekend rounding.

Job Description:

Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team in accordance with the designated specialty. Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

Preferred Qualifications

  • New Graduates may be considered. Prefer a minimum 2 years of experience in Oncology

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire ( NP)

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty or Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA) - National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants within specialty required upon hire.

  • MN NP/PA license required upon hire.

  • BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days

  • Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire

Physical Demands

  • Medium Work*:
  • Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $135,096 to $164,216 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
