Could you be the full-time onsite Field Service Engineer - Track in Jamaica, NY, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and optimal performance of the JFK AirTrain Automated People Mover (APM) by maintaining and enhancing track infrastructure. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (maintenance, construction, inspection, and operations), develop and deliver training programs, and much more.

You'll specifically take care of administering, supervising, and coordinating all maintenance, construction, inspection, and operation of track and related structures, but also developing and delivering training, testing, and certification documentation.

We'll look to you for:




  • Administering, supervising, and coordinating all maintenance, construction, inspection, and operation of track and related structures.



  • Developing plans for maintenance, installation, and upgrades of track infrastructure to ensure consistent APM performance.



  • Providing technical direction during preventive and corrective maintenance and assisting in department budget planning.



  • Driving reliability improvement initiatives and managing vendors to deliver on scope, budget, and timelines.



  • Investigating service interruptions with root cause analysis and corrective actions.



  • Maintaining preventive and corrective maintenance programs that align with contract requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies.

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field), or equivalent technical experience.



  • Experience or understanding of track maintenance, inspection, and operations.



  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, system reliability improvements, and compliance with regulatory standards.



  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and technical documentation.



  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.



  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis.



  • Adaptability to dynamic environments and operational demands.



  • Safety-conscious and detail-oriented mindset.



  • Ability to supervise contractors and manage vendor relationships.



  • Experience with planning, budgeting, and project coordination.
