We are currently seeking an Application Engineer II/Snr Application Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, andoptimizingcontrol systems for gas turbinesused in industrial applications. If you have a strong background in control engineering for gas turbines and are passionate aboutleveragingadvanced technologies to createcutting-edgesolutions, we want to hear from you!In this role, you will focus on the development and integration ofmedium to high-complexity control systemsfor aeroderivative gas turbines. You will lead projects, collaborate across departments, and ensure that designs meetindustry standards, project requirements, and safety protocols. You will also support production troubleshooting, mentor junior engineers, and explore emerging technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.

Level 2: Estimate annual base pay: $77,000-$105,000

Level 2:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Maintenance: Competent understanding of application software to support test setups and debug recommendations and may support small changes.
  • Technical Support: Evaluates technical problems by examining various factors and data, developing and implementing effective solutions under guided direction.
  • Application Processes: Supports technical content in proposal creation, contributes to product specifications, software, and application literature. Promotes and implements process improvements.
  • Execute Technical Assignments: Carries out a range of technical tasks and projects, resolving moderately complex issues using current technologies and established procedures.
  • Apply Business Expertise: Utilizes knowledge of key business drivers and company processes to inform technical decisions and align projects with organizational goals.

  • Effective Communication: Ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely to various audiences.

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Expertise in analyzing data and situations to resolve moderately complex technical issues.

  • Quality Management: Ensures high standards in personal work output and contributes to maintaining product and service quality.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Skilled in creating and maintaining accurate technical requirements, documentation and records.
  • Adaptability to New Technologies: Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply new technologies as required by the role.
  • Applying Standards: Ability to understand and interpret industry and Woodward technical standards including quality system standards and PLC process.

Other Qualifications:

  • 4 Year Bachelors BS degree

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity withGas Turbine controls and operations.
  • Experience inPowerGenerationor Oil and Gasapplications.
  • Network management and cybersecurity knowledge.
