Position Summary Position Summary: The Senior Marketing Manager is a strategic and execution-oriented leader responsible for owning the end-to-end marketing lifecycle-from market insight and positioning (upstream) through commercial execution and growth (downstream) and will directly lead Marketing Communications (MarCom) and Creative Services. In addition to Marketing, this individual will lead pricing strategy with core functions supporting revenue growth, brand execution, and go-to-market effectiveness. This is a player-coach role requiring strong mentoring and team building skills, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable commercial impact. Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities: Upstream Marketing & Strategy
- Lead market, customer, and competitive analysis to define segmentation, ideal customer profiles (ICPs), and growth opportunities
- Own value proposition development, positioning, messaging frameworks, and differentiation strategy across products and solutions
- Define and maintain go-to-market strategy for new products, features, and market expansions
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to influence roadmap prioritization based on market and customer insight
- Translate market intelligence into actionable commercial strategies that inform downstream execution
Downstream / Commercial Marketing Execution
- Own and oversee execution of integrated marketing plans that drive demand, pipeline creation, and revenue growth
- Lead Marketing Managers across key functional areas (product marketing, demand generation, content, field marketing)
- Ensure consistent messaging across campaigns, digital channels, and customer-facing initiatives
- Align closely with Sales leadership on pipeline targets, sales motions, and commercial plays
- Ensure all downstream execution reflects upstream strategy, positioning, and business objectives
Pricing Strategy & Commercial Models
- Own pricing strategy, including value-based pricing, packaging, discount frameworks, and deal governance
- Conduct pricing analysis, willingness-to-pay research, and competitive benchmarking
- Partner with Product Management, Finance, and Sales to align pricing with customer value, growth, and margin objectives
- Develop pricing tools, guidelines, and enablement for Sales and Commercial teams
Sales Enablement & Go-To-Market Support
- Own development of sales enablement assets, including pitch decks, battlecards, messaging guides, and case studies
- Support product launches with clear positioning, pricing, and field readiness
- Ensure tight feedback loops between Sales, Marketing, and Product Management
- Drive consistency and quality across all field-facing materials and communications
Marketing Communications & Creative Services
- Direct and manage Marketing Communications (MarCom) as the function responsible for messaging, storytelling, PR, and external communications
- Direct and manage Creative Services as the function responsible for brand design, visual identity, digital creative, and production execution
- Develop and maintain enterprise messaging architecture, brand voice, and narrative consistency across all channels
- Lead development and execution of integrated communication strategies, including campaigns, product communications, thought leadership, and corporate messaging
- Oversee public relations, media engagement, and external communications to support brand visibility and market positioning
- Establish and enforce brand standards, visual identity guidelines, and creative quality across all marketing and commercial outputs
- Ensure all creative assets and communications align with upstream strategy and downstream commercial objectives
- Drive high-impact storytelling across product launches, campaigns, customer communications, and executive messaging
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team across Marketing, Pricing, Marketing Communications, and Creative Services
- Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations across all functional areas
- Act as a senior commercial leader and trusted partner to Product Management, Sales, and Finance
- Influence decision-making and drive alignment in a matrixed organization
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team environment
Measurement & Optimization
- Define success metrics across upstream strategy, downstream execution, pricing, and communications
- Track KPIs including pipeline contribution, conversion rates, win/loss insights, pricing performance, and campaign effectiveness
- Measure performance of marketing communications and creative output on engagement, brand awareness, and revenue impact
- Continuously refine strategy and execution based on data, customer feedback, and market dynamics
Qualifications Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, sales, or commercial leadership roles, including 5+ years managing both strategy and execution
- Proven experience leading upstream (segmentation, positioning, GTM) and downstream (demand generation, enablement) marketing
- Direct experience owning pricing strategy and commercial models
- Experience managing Marketing Communications and Creative Services functions strongly preferred
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills across Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience in medical device, diagnostics, biotech, or life sciences markets required
- Strong leadership, team-building, and organizational development capabilities
- Domestic and international travel required as needed
- This is an onsite position based in Hollis, NH. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense
