Security Officer - Foot Patrol

As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns, maintain a visible presence, and support daily operations through clear communication and customer service. You will document observations and share timely updates with site leadership, while representing Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
• Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
