As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. Your visible presence helps to deter incidents while delivering a welcoming customer service experience for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies for a technology campus or office environment.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access issues.
• Monitor access points and check identification, badges, and/or visitor credentials as directed by post orders, reporting irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per procedure.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or public responders, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
