Job Description




As a Security Officer - Telecom Hub Patrol Driver in Union City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor directions with a customer-first approach. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will document activities, communicate clearly, and collaborate with a team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with check-in and badging processes, verifying authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate location as required by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, document patrol observations and incidents, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership per reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
