Security Officer - Industrial Patrol

As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol in South Boston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that can help to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or panel activity as needed, and communicate clearly while delivering standout customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control processes, and other security-related duties at an industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor logs, and assist with vehicle and delivery check-in procedures when assigned.
• Complete accurate reports and shift activity logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
