As a Security Guard - Armed Federal Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to reports with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a patrol vehicle to cover assigned areas and complete detailed activity reports. What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from Allied Universal leadership and/or public agency resources as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, watching for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor logs, and directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with post orders.
- Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate status updates to supervisors, clients, and/or emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
- You must be at least 21 years of age.
- You must be able to ride a bike.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
