Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols and primarily driving rounds, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to resident questions with strong customer service. You will document activity using a computer and/or tablet and communicate clearly with onsite teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering while maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including writing clear incident reports and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Operate site systems as assigned such as access control, CCTV, and/or visitor logs, and document patrols, service requests, and security-related observations per post requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
