Security Officer - Data Center Patrol

As a Security Officer - Data Center Patrol in Joplin, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location as an unarmed Patrol Officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will support access points and report activity with attention to detail, delivering customer service with integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting observations according to post orders.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and/or authorization as required, and help to maintain controlled entry in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, medical calls, and other site emergencies, and notify appropriate parties.
• Complete routine reports and logs, communicate noteworthy activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related investigations when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
