Security Officer - Telecommunications Campus Patrol

As a Security Officer - Telecommunications Campus Patrol in Homer Glen, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will make routine patrols of offices and grounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related issues, and support employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, report concerns, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, lobbies, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, verify credentials when required, and report irregularities according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including observing, reporting, and documenting events per Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related operations during special events and/or high-traffic periods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
