Job Description




As a Security Officer- Flex - Hotel Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas, entrances, and back of house spaces, completing routine rounds and staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff with a service-first mindset, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hotel and resort areas including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, amenity spaces, and perimeter locations, noting and reporting unusual activity or conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, medical calls, fire and alarm activations, and access concerns.
  • Control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, monitoring entry points, and assisting with key control and visitor guidance per site-specific policies.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support security-related investigations as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of Security Experience.
  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
