Security Officer - Media Campus Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Media Campus Patrol Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a leading tech and data center location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support badge and access control processes, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, access requirements, and site-specific policies, and assisting with security-related requests as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, equipment areas, and perimeter routes at a technology-focused location, noting hazards, unusual conditions, and policy concerns.
• Monitor entry points and controlled areas by observing activity, verifying authorization, and directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries to the proper check-in and/or staging areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
• Complete timely reports and logs, including patrol documentation, incident reports, and shift turnover notes, using client-required tools and communication methods.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
