As a Security Officer Armed in Hot Springs National Park, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and respond to incidents with professionalism. You will support access control, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a caring, people-first experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies, including participation in required qualifications and training.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or public law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Control access points by checking identification, monitoring visitor entry and exit, and documenting security-related activity in written and/or electronic reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
