DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will coordinate strategic plans and lead marketing initiatives for our department's varied, state-wide promotions and programs. This involves managing multiple projects and functions at the same time by determining work priorities, timelines, and goals, as well as overseeing promotions, programs, and printing budgets.

Our team will rely on your knowledge and experience of marketing, promotional, research, and analysis principles, practices, and techniques to achieve our collective goals with new game launches and other initiatives. Responsibilities also include applying and interpreting Lottery policies, rules, and regulations, as well as staying up to date with Lottery industry promotions and best practices, using your professional judgment to determine when promotional guidelines need updates or require intervention by Lottery Security.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Middletown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Lottery Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of professional marketing, advertising, or merchandising experience and a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, data science, economics, or a related field; or
  • Seven years of experience managing a retail business, servicing retail sales accounts, or marketing products to retail accounts, which includes advertising, marketing communications, product research, or promotion.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have three or more years of professional experience in brand marketing or advertising at the corporate level.
  • You must have professional experience working at or with an advertising agency or creative agency partner.
  • You must have professional experience in the lottery, gaming or consumer product goods industry.
  • You must have professional experience developing marketing, promotional or advertising strategies utilizing data insights.
  • You must have professional experience managing timelines, multiple projects and the logistics of advertising, promotional, sponsorships, or marketing campaigns such as television, online video, radio, out-of-home, online display, paid social media, paid search, community and sports sponsorships.
  • You must have professional experience making independent decisions at a high level.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
