As a Security Officer - Battery Manufacturer Part-Time in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. You will be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, labs, common areas, loading and parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and conduct visitor management activities such as verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, and/or maintaining access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing initial actions such as scene assessment, notifications, and coordination with site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
• Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders, and support security-related investigations by preserving observations and reporting timely findings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
