Security Officer - Mall Patrol

As a Security Officer - Mall Perimeter Patrol Driver in Thousand Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers, tenants, and staff with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first, reliable approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance, coordinating with site management, and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, loading and delivery zones, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, observing for unusual activity that may help to deter loss and/or property damage.
• Monitor access points and maintain a visible presence, assisting with directions, policy reminders, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or restricted-area access concerns.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate key information during shift handoff, and use radios and/or mobile devices as required by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 plus years of security experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
