As a Security Officer - Factory Gate Control in Spirit Lake, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and guide people to the right areas. You will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and document activity to help identify and/or help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing drivers to designated staging and delivery areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems to help identify unusual activity, and communicate concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, reporting hazards, and coordinating with local responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
