Job Description




As a Security Officer - Dealership Front Desk in Mount Laurel, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in an auto rental location, you will greet visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor lobby activity, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and a customer-first approach. You will represent Allied Universal by being agile, reliable, and innovative, supporting a caring culture through teamwork, and acting with integrity while serving as the welcoming first point of contact.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Manage access control by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing badges, maintaining sign-in logs, and directing guests to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the reception area to help to deter unauthorized activity and promptly notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision of concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with local responders when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation for incidents, customer interactions, and security-related observations, and communicate updates to client representatives and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
